Faroese Ports and Shipping Sector Highlighted |
On the occasion of the Fish Expo Faroes 2009 trade show in Tórshavn 27-29 May, we're publishing the debut issue of North Atlantic News. This is a special-focus, magazine-style publication with the first issue dedicated to coverage of the Faroese ports and shipping sector.
The bulk of the stories printed in the magazine are sponsored features of a similar format as known from Faroe Business Report, and are likewise published online. Features include Faroe Agency, Port of Klaksvik, Toftir Harbour, Port of Runavik, Samskip, and Port of Fuglafjoerdur. The editorial discusses the deteriorating outlook for the blue whiting fishery which may force the ports and shipping sector to look for alternative routes to business growth.

New Website for Maria Olsen Photo |
Our partner, photographer Maria Olsen has had a new website designed by PRnewsMedia.com. The new www.mariaolsen.com is a makeover of an earlier Flash site, now powered by the Joomla content management system. It features a gallery of selected photos, a portfolio of published works and exhibitions, as well as concise information on services and professional background. Maria contributed herself extensively to the design and content of her new site.
“This site feels good and is easily navigated compared to the earlier site. I have also sharpened some of the business concepts to add clarity and create more attraction for existing and potential customers. I’m quite excited to see how this will be received.” |

Faroe Agency Refreshes Web Presence |
Congratulations to Faroe Agency, who are boosting their internet presence with a new corporate website. The challenge they presented: "Give us a new look on the web and make it modern, customer-centered, user-friendly, informative and reflective of the nature of our business and our value proposition."
We built the site in close cooperation with our client and provided a complete package including information structure, copy, images and design. The resulting product was based on a template developed by a US-based Joomla specialist.
The solution consists of open source software powered by the latest version of the award-winning Joomla content management system (CMS) -- a powerful platform which no doubt will make life easier for Faroe Agency.
"This is nice and fresh," said Faroe Agency partner Karl-Erik Reynheim, "so we're looking forward to working with the site. One of the obvious advantages with a system like this is that it allows us to manage the content ourselves in a very easy and straightforward way, without having to involve external consultants." |
